Seeing Makassar from 19th floor

Seeing the city of Makassar from the height its hard enough to find the best position. Before 2 years ago is still hard to find tall buildings over 15 floors. in the year 2010 this new building becomes taller races. there are 23 floors, 15, 20 etc ...

Last week able to visit a friend's office in one of the highest building. for us who rarely see this level of reply unfortunately does not photograph he2 ....

Yesterday jan 4th 2009 my family and all office friends at Procia Clinical Lab was invited by Idar MD to his village. this invitation was followed by around 50 persons and family. it's so exciting moment and never happen in my life before...

Eating fish directly in the pond is an amazing experience. Fresh fish, straight from the pond.

Saturday September 6, 2008 in the theater classroom Lt.5 Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University held an "Introduction to Linux and Open Source Software" for new students of Faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University. This event was organized by the POSS and the Faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University in collaboration with the Linux Users Group Ujungpandang (naive) and Ariel Computers.

At the presentation this time acting as a speaker is Arman Satari who talk about Linux and its benefits. Adi Nugroho talking about Open Office and Phipho about Multimedia in Linux.
The event starts promptly at 9 am, with the first speaker Arman Satari. Unlike the previous linux roadshow in STMIK Dipa Negara. This time without further pleasantries, without sepatahkata and straight into the welcome introduction to the subject of Linux. Presentations 100% this time attended by all new students of Faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University. The first material to run for about 45 minutes talking about the benefits and why it chose Linux as its operating system daily.

Adi Nugroho as the second speaker talked about Open Office. this time participants actually "entertained" with his presentation. fitur2 explained that there is no operating system "other" which basically asked all participants to try to use open office instead of a paid software.

The third speaker, explaining phipho multimedia applications that run on Linux. This time the participants truly impressed with the superior features that are difficult in the "opponent" rival operating systems. play a song, run a movie and play standard games run smoothly and can compete with a rival operating system.

The enthusiasm of participants also looks quite enthusiastic with some fairly weighty questions. one participant asked: if Linux has many advantages, whether too many shortcomings linux ..? If Linux is Free and Open Source then where programmers and users earn money untukdapat kept walking ...? and many more questions Medical Students who really weighs.

Once upon a time I was assigned to audit the office of Information Systems in Regional / branch in east Java on assignment from my boss at headquarters - Central Jakarta.

Previously we had four in the Laboratory Information System was given in depth training about:

- "Effective Internal Audit and Corrective / Preventive Action" which was held by the Business Excellence.

- Intensive ISO 9001:2000 Internal Quality Auditor Skills Training organized by the PQM.

Important elements of the audit:

- SOP
- IK (Work Instruction)
- Log
- Document
- MoU

Audit Preparation:
- Checklist, which includes pertanyaan2 will check with the auditee in accordance with the applicable SOPs in place of the auditee.

The steps in the audit that is done:

- Opening Ceremony, is an introduction between auditors and auditees as well as a request for permission to audit the auditors.

- Checking the Document, Please note there is a clause in the ISO inspection documents that must be met, namely:

* Clausul 4.2.3 Document Control: how do (standards) organizations to control all quality documents circulating in the Quality System. How does the filing method, the revision / amendment, distribution, withdrawal, communication / socialization, and approval of documents in the organization.

* Clausul 4.2.4 Quality Control Notes: how do (standards) organizations to control the quality of notes in circulation. How long should be retained (retention), where, what to do after passing through the store.

* Clausul 8.2.2 Internal Quality Audit: how to (standard) organization to implement an Internal Quality Audit process, from planning, execution, reporting, repair action, up to verification.

* Clausul 3.8 Control Products Not Available: on how to (standard) organization if it finds the product that is not compliant (NC / Non Conformity), both within the organization and after continued into the process / organization outside of our organization.

* Clausul 8.5.2 Corrective Action: how organizations to implement corrective action if it finds any problems or lack of compliance, ranging from problem identification, root problems, solutions, until verification.

* Clausul 8.5.3 Precautions organization how to improve the performance of its Quality System continually through the identification of potential problems and ideas for improvement.

Clausul This is the basis, including IT systems auditing.

- Type of document most of my first check is SOP. SOP seen clearly in the existing work procedures in the IT department. I live to see the SOP compliance with reality on the ground everyday.

- If there are steps that do not fit, the same error over and over again as I enter the NC / Non Conformity. if only a small part of the sub systems are categorized as observations only.

- Check us in the audit is a question that had been prepared earlier in Cehcklist. confirmation of each question by writing the answer on the question.

- Sometimes need to see the lack of shrewdness Auditor SOP compliance.

- Once is enough time to conduct audits (as scheduled) further preparations to make the internal quality audit reports.

- Before the closing ceremony, the audit report to confirm it (Process Owner) process owner. whether the findings were acknowledged by the owner of the process. can in protest but usually finding the right is recognized and we provide corrective action.

- Closing Ceremony, closing the audit process, which was attended by leaders of branches and staff. well say goodbye to return to headquarters.

Basically the audit was not to find fault, but to help organizations improve the system becomes better.

11 months ago, exactly 30 June 2007 (see thread -> http://groups.yahoo.com/group/konsultan-ict/message/1821) I never post about the ISO 9001:2000 document management, time management where we have not controlled documents (maybe even until today:))

When meeting in SEAMOLEC , on sessions ISO material gives me a bit about the Old responses mastery over the material of ISO 9001:2000. from my previous experience of ISO9001: 2000 is quite difficult especially for controlled within a month. Because this standard is known quite tight, before any further it's good that we get to know first what the ISO.
ISO is a governing body certification or authorize a standard. ISO stands for International Standard Organization. ISO is made because the company wants from a variety of business sectors to satisfy its customers, in particular by improving the quality of work and service in accordance with the standards established. Not the body that created the ISO standard, but a body that produces standard way to ensure that followed in line with the rate of companies that use the standard chosen.
ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard for quality management systems. ISO 9001:2000 define the requirements and recommendations for the design and evaluation of a quality management system, which aims to ensure that the organization will provide products (goods and / or services) that meet specified conditions. Specified requirements may be a specific requirement of customers, where the organization is in the contract is responsible for ensuring the quality of particular products or the needs of specific markets, as determined by the organization.
In a college environment, what is meant by quality assurance or quality of service is provided by the colleges of stakeholders, consisting of students, alumni, graduate user / industry and parents of students.
Stakeholders will mention whatever aspect considered in determining the quality of higher education, such as aspects related to: 1. lectures and curriculum materials that link and match with the industrial world; 2. lecturing process which sesuaidengan conditions apply; 3. competence of lecturers as appropriate; 4. facilities and infrastructure that support the learning processes.
Although no definition of an acceptable quality of public secarara, all have in common, namely: 1. quality include efforts to meet or exceed customer expectations; 2. includes quality products, services, people, process and environment; 3. Quality is an ever-changing conditions (something that is considered quality today may not be considered qualified in the future).

Yesterday I was idly to Gramedia Mall Diamond - Makassar looking for a book mini-PC Media. Unfortunately I was looking for books not yet published, this book is important for me because in it there is continued discussion about the SMS Gateway. Incidentally SMS Gateway program is one of my programs are already ready to use but poor reference. Well in that book is discussed in greater detail.
Before turning, as usual I check the list of books in the Scholastic computer. aja times my book was published. On a previous visit had not yet signed my book to Makassar.

Checks based on keywords author - "Resha" - Gotcha ... Surprise I've entered Scholastic book, certainly with the distribution system Pernerbit ANDI means in all Scholastic book already exists ...

My book is the 4th "Building portals with DotNetNuke" is included with the book publishing process is quite long. Manuscript has been accepted since June 2007, then in the review by Publishers RESEARCH TEAM whether published or not feasible. then, if feasible, then the process moves to the editor and book cover designs, and entered the printing queue. process is a rather long queue. having to wait for the book, a magazine that had first entered. takes about 3-4 months to finally be ready to be distributed throughout Indonesia.
Finally my fourth book was released on bookstore ... thank God.
In general, this book describes the installation and administration of web portals using DotNet technologies - Windows Base. what and how ...? all described with language that is easily understood in this book ...

The week third of Pendamping's Job. me myself visiting Provider in UNHAS. one of two provider in South Sulawesi. this time i'm planning to see haw fast the growing of teaching dan how many problems there. beside that i'm planning to see how actively the student coming to the class. from our discussion i can concluded that the teaching and learning has run well.

There are many things have to be pay attention :

Not all student join the class actively. even there are 3 students has not come to kampus yet.
The status of the student has the same status with other faculty. having student card, learn in the class etc
many student wants to move to another district.
many teacher continuing their study

Video Conference Kopertis 9, Kab Minahasa Tenggara and ITPS Surabaya

Last Saturday, there are 3 node of jardiknas join in a video conference to share information in each node. coincidence, at that time Mr Albert Pontoh MM as The Regent of Minahasa Tenggara and Mr Drs. MJ Manoppo, M.Sc as the head of Dinas Pendidikan Kab Minahasa Tenggara Open at the first time using jardiknas in his teritory.

As the result of integrating Kab Minahasa Tenggara as a part of the another 1014 Jardiknas node all over the indonesia so each node could share the experience to another.

from ITPS Surabaya, MR Khalid explains about using jardiknas, for example this 3 node of video conference much more efficient than in the past using mail, phone and SMS.

As you can see below, the picture of node in Kopertis when 3 node video conference.

Hopefully, using Jardiknas could be a bridge of information between one school to another. supported with another program from National Education Department like PJJ S1 PGSD to helping teacher upgrade their knowledge until Bachelor Degree. the lack of information access dan distance could be decrease with using the Jardiknas.

Lastweek at thuesday, i have visited one of two provider in South Sulawesi to find out how far our programs run, especially D3TKJ and Provider itself. from our conversation with the PIC there... Mrs Hafsah, there's some important thing that i think it must pay more attention for us.

Many students (D3TKJ) asking about the future of this scholar especially on how elligeble the certificate to continues thier studies..
there are still a lot of ICT Center district have not take the fee yet..
The Provider are planning to make all module teaching book. nowadays teaching and learning process directly in front of screen monitor without module book. the impact of this process many student not learning serious, only about 25% of student who really have strong "willing" to learn.
Not at all student active, neither do teachers who always come on time to teach.

I see still often happened misunderstand to open source. Following I embrace some explanations conceptors and activator free software and open source, be like Eric S Raymond, Richard M Stallman, etc.

last week i wacthed a very interesting movie, yes... like i always waiting for science fiction movie, this is one of the best i think. This film as a whole is animation film of 3D best which is me have look on. Graphical and his reality storey;level is very keen. need hundreds of year make nge-"render" this film on my compouter.... Hehehe.
Story road;street started with a period of/to newest and then flashback to assorted sequence the event where governmental actually USA have known of this thing but not yet had the resolving to the kejadian2 this.
Solidarity between Michael Bay which is champion in film action ( The Rock, Bad Boys I & II, Armageddon) with Stephen Spielberg ( who is don't know Spielberg?) yield solidarity able to be spelled out members respect by its is separate. Two days ago i found a great opensource image gallery, it's easy way to publish our images even in hundred pictures. the source you can download from http://www.coppermine-gallery.net

is it the best image gallery ever? at least a lot of netter said so. To improve it first, i try to install coppermine in my localhost. extract from compressed file and i find no problem, create some categories, albums, upload around 40 pictures and trully it's so easy.

i only take time one day to create new gallery website, only take 1-2 hours upload to my website. and now my gallery live from http://foto.jardiknas.web.id

Jenis angkutan penumpang saat ini yang sering kita lihat adalah Mikrolet, Taksi, Bus Mini, Bus AC besar dll. Masing-masing banyak terlihat di dekat rumah kiat, di jalan2 raya. Hal ini sudah lumrah.

Pernahkah anda melihat angkutan kota model Datsun? model penumpang naik atau turun lewat bagian belakang, ruang Supir dan Penumpang dipisahkan dinding besi tipis. Waktu saya kecil (sekitar tahun 4-6 tahun) Mobil Angkutan seperti ini masih sering dijumpai.

Sepertinya angkutan ini hanya ada di Kab Wajo - kota Sengkang. Soalnya selama ini kalo saya jalan ke daerah belum pernah melihat angkutan seperti ini di tempat lain.

Dari hari ke hari kita sering melakukan aktifitas kerja, bertemu dengan banyak orang, membayar rekening air, mengurus pembuatan SIM, kadang juga bertanggungjawab membayar telepon rumah diloket terdekat dan sering antri saat mendekati batas waktu pembayaran. Workload yang tinggi seperti antrian panjang paling sensitif terhadap ketidaknyamanan pelayanan. Hampir semua perkantoran baik pemerintah maupun swasta memiliki staf yang bertugas di baris depan sebagai frontliner. Lihatlah ketika anda menabung uang di Bank, mendaftar sebagai mahasiswa baru di Perguruan Tinggi, mengurus KTP, membeli tiket pesawat di agen perjalanan sampai mengurus administrasi apa saja di lembaga pemerintahan. Semuanya berhubungan dengan pelayanan. Sialnya, hampir semua pelayanan publik seperti yang disebutkan diatas belum memiliki standarisasi pelayanan yang memuaskan seperti Customer Satisfaction, Quality of Service, Service Excellence, Customer Care, jiwa melayani sepenuh hati dll. Belum lagi jika berbicara mengenai Good Corporate Governance.

Pelayanan yang selama ini kita dapatkan seperti jauh api dari panggang, bahkan yang paling parah jika mereka yang bertugas di bagian pelayanan justru mau dilayani. Kejadiannya justru terbalik, saat ingin mengurus surat menyurat yang membutuhkan tanda tangan pimpinan suatu instansi misalnya, tidak jarang yang sibuk mencari waktu dan tempat adalah kita sendiri yang justru tidak mengerti apa-apa tentang instansi tersebut. Belum lagi omelan bahkan marahan jika ada hal yang mereka anggap salah. Benar-benar bukan pelayanan yang kita dapat melainkan sumpah serapah, omelan, juga tidak jarang mereka malah asik ngobrol di telepon atau bergosip saat banyak yang membutuhkan informasi.

Fenomena ini sudah sering kita lihat sehari-hari, omelan dan sumpah serapah masih sering kita dengar, hal yang cukup luar biasa jika kita bisa mendapat frontliner yang tersenyum. Mungkin hal ini sudah menjadi kebiasaan bagi mereka yang tidak mendapat teguran dari atasannya, atau belum ada pelatihan berkesinambungan tentang bagaimana melayani klien dengan lebih baik.

Bagian pelayanan ini bisa saja menjadi cemin tentang atmosfir hubungan komunikasi intern suatu perusahaan atau instansi. Makin tinggi tingkat stress pekerjaan tertentu umumnya terbawa sampai ke bagian pelayanan di depan dan ini berpengaruh langsung terhadap konsumen, Brand Image yang dibentuk akhirnya dengan mudah melekat. Jika bagian pelayanan memberikan citra positif, otomatis bagian lain dibelakang perusahaannya akan terbantu , jika memberi citra negatif maka brand image yang dibangun tentu membuat klien tidak betah berlama-lama di perusahaan itu.

Seberapa besar kepedulian terhadap klien? (dalam hal ini klien adalah orang yang berhubungan langsung dengan bagian pelayanan). Tanpa diukur dengan hitungan matematispun kita sudah bisa menduga-duga bahkan banyak yang langsung mengambil kesimpulan bahwa pelayanan sektor publik di makassar masih belum memuaskan. Kepedulian terhadap klien ini baru menyinggung tentang sikap(attitude). Belum lagi fasilitas pendukung seperti sambugan telepon, alat tulis, name tag, data sampai sistem informasi (Customer Relationship Management).

Sebenarnya hal-hal diatas dapat diubah, terutama sikap yang digambarkan para staff pelayanan kepada orang luar. Ambil contoh yang paling mudah, lihatlah salesman yang kita sering jumpai di mall-mall atau yang mendatangi kita di kantor. Lihat juga penyiar radio saat menerima telepon penggemarnya, juga dokter yang melayani pasiennya. Selalu ada senyum mengembang di sana, selalu mendengar dengan penuh perhatian dan empati.

Kembali tentang perubahan sikap. Bagaimana melakukannya? Bagaimana menyatukan persepsi mereka semua? Bagaimana mengubah paradigma berfikir menjadi jiwa menerima dan melayani?… Dalam manajemen modern dikenal konsep-konsep baru tentang pelayanan. Konsep ini sebenarnya tidak terlalu baru, namun belum dikenal luas oleh sebagian lapisan masyarakat.

Salah satu konsep yang cukup populer adalah Quality of Service. Pengertian sederhananya adalah sikap ramah dan sopan kepada pelanggan. Lebih jauh Quality of Service dipahami sebagai nilai (value) yang diterima para klien melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan dan bahkan melampaui harapan. Nilai tersebut tercermin dalam bentuk interaksi komunikasi yang menyenangkan (ramah, sopan, selalu menolong, terampil dll), proses yang cepat, ringkas, sederhana dan nyaman. Semua hal ini dapat meningkatkan mutu pelayanan.

Jika sikap ini dapat dijaga dan berlanjut terus, lambat laun akan tercipta ikatan emosional yang kuat, dapat membentuk persepsi yang positif terhadap lembaga. Ambil contoh hubungan baik antara Taxi Blue Bird (BB) dengan penumpangnya (di jakarta) dijadikan sebagai salah satu business objective mereka. BB selalu melihat penumpangnya sebagai para duta (Customers as Ambassador). Disadari atau tidak para klien dan relasi tersebut akan mewakili lembaga di masyarakat untuk berbicara segala hal tentang lembaga tersebut.

Indikator sederhananya dapat digambarkan pada petugas pelayanan yang ramah, senyum, cepat tanggap, berbicara dengan suara yang jelas, memberi penjelasan yang mudah dipahami, menjaga kontak mata dan bahasa tubuh, mengucapkan terima kasih dan menawarkan bantuan. Contoh seluruh indikator ini terdapat pada pelayanan Rumah Sakit, klien yang tidak lain adalah pasien dan kerabat pasien membutuhkan suasana psikologis yang menyenangkan bukan menegangkan. Suasana yang nyaman ini dapat membuat pasien merasa tenang bahkan dapat membantu proses penyembuhan.

Balik pada indikator tadi, Bagaimana mengetahui tingkat pelayanan yang memuaskan klien dan pasien? Apa ukurannya? In advance, ukuran ini dapat ditemukan pada beberapa konsep Manajemen Mutu dimana setiap tindakan dan langkah kerja memiliki Standar Operational Procedure (SOP). Setiap langkah kerja petugas pelayanan berpedoman pada prosedur standar yang baku. Hal ini penting untuk mengukur langkah yang diambil oleh petugas pelayanan agar tidak menyimpang dari prosedur standar. Biasanya langkah kerja memiliki dokumen isian yang dimungkinkan untuk mencatat apa yang pertugas pelayanan kerjakan dan mengerjakan apa yang mereka catat. Dalam periode tertentu idealnya dibuat audit manajemen untuk memperbaiki sistem agar menjadi lebih baik.
